What are the lead times?
All our products are custom-made and are thus pre-orders (unless part of the Current Collection). Lead times of 3-6 weeks for felt books and 2-4 weeks for felt dolls apply unless otherwise indicated. This way you are able to customize a cover for your book and create custom felt dolls. You will be notified if you order is ready sooner than these lead times.
What is the Current Collection?
Items in the Current Collection are pre-made and thus immediately available. Lead times do not apply to this collection. Where applicable, felt covers are standard according to the colour listed in the description.
Is there a difference in Felt Doll size between the Mini and full-size Book?
No! The Felt Dolls in the Full-Size and Mini Books are the same size, meaning they can be used across books.
How do I care for my felt book?
Our felt books are made with high-quality wool-blend felt, which is durable and easy to maintain. To keep your felt book in pristine condition, we recommend spot cleaning with a mild dish washing liquid and cold water. Be as gentle as possible. Avoid submerging the book in water or using harsh chemicals. The felt may also attract fibres and hairs. Use a sticky roller or sticky tape to remove these fibres.
Are the felt books suitable for all ages?
While our felt books are designed with young children in mind, they can be enjoyed by individuals of all ages. You know your child best, and can determine if they would enjoy playing with it. Our books can grow with your child. Begin with simple play and move to imaginative story telling. Please supervise young children during play to ensure their safety.
Can I customize a felt book?
All felt covers are custom as you can select the colour of your cover. We offer custom dolls. We do not offer large-scale customization options for our felt books.
How do you price your felt books?
Only the highest quality wool-blend felt is used in Good For The Sewl felt books. This allows them to be more durable when played with by little hands. Each book is hand-sewn and can take up to 30 hours to complete. Felt books also include corresponding felt dolls.
What do I do if my felt doll starts to come apart?
While felt dolls are created to be played with, with extended use they may begin to show signs of wear. Reattach any loose pieces with fabric glue. I recommend Aleene's fabric fusion.
How do I care for my Milestone Pennant Flags?
If your felt words/numbers or flag are wrinkled you can straighten them out by putting them under a heavy book. If this doesn’t work, you can iron them carefully on the wool setting.
You can make the felt words/numbers temporarily stick to the pennant flag by pressing it to the flag with a heavy book.

Where do you ship to?
We offer both domestic (South Africa) and international shipping options.
How long does shipping take?
Domestic (South African) orders typically arrive within 3-5 business days. International orders are shipped using DHL Express and can take between 3-5 days. Please contact us directly for additional information on shipping costs. Please note for international orders you may be charged additional customs fees that will be your responsibility. We have no control over this.
How do I track my order?
You will be sent an email when your order is dispatched. This email will include tracking information.
What payment methods can I use?
For your convenience, we accept all major credit cards, including Visa, Mastercard and other payments through Payfast and Direct EFT.
Returns
How do I return an item?
At Good For The Sewl, we are committed to providing our customers with the highest
quality hand-sewn felt books. As all our items are custom-made, we only accept returns for books that arrive damaged. If your book arrives in damaged condition, please reach out to us at hello@goodforthesewl.com within 7 days of the book arriving. You will then be issued a replacement book.
